Located at 215-217 Portobello High St, Edinburgh, Eyden's is a charming coffee shop that captures the essence of cozy community spaces. Customers rave about the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by soft background jazz — a perfect backdrop for casual conversations or quiet reflection.
Reviews highlight that Eyden's is not just about great coffee; it serves up remarkable breakfast options that leave a lasting impression. Aysa Fard proclaimed it “the best breakfast ever,” showcasing the café’s emphasis on quality and care in every dish. The food is praised for being reasonably priced, especially when compared to more expensive options found just a bus ride away in the city center.
Beyond the offerings, the décor is striking, with art adorning the walls, further enriching the dining experience. As Michael Coleman notes, it’s a family-friendly environment perfect for energizing your day by the beach. Whether you're looking to savor a moment with a book or engage in deep thought, Eyden's provides the ideal setting. It's more than just a coffee shop; it’s a place where ambiance meets culinary delight.

Nice wee cafe with friendly staff. Loved the vibe given off by the soft background jazz music in a casual yet cosy setting. Good place for sipping a coffee with toast while reading at teatime. Or just musing on life with a coffee.

Really good food in a great location. Interior is cosy and family friendly. Priced reasonably well considering a 25-minute bus into town could see you paying 50% more for the food. Staff was welcoming and friendly too, overall, a great experience! Definitely visit if you're nearby the beach for a coffee or breakfast to give you energy for the day!
